Draper Draper Utah was originally established over one-hundred fifty years ago, in 1849. List most other cities at the time, it was settled as a farming community for raising cattle. A few years later when a post office was built, the town was called Draperville. When the city was officially established the name was shortened to the current city name of Draper.
Much growth has been experienced and the population recently reached 38,556. 16% of the population rents and there are 6,578 households.
